| Stevie's solos take place over a repeating E to
A (I to IV) progression. His first solo contains a well-balanced mixture of scales. Stevie begins with a Jimi Hendrix-inspired line played exclusively on the second string. It use the E major pentatonic scale (E-F#-G#-B-C#) and is phrased with slides and hammer ons. Range: from the 7th to the 14th position. |
